MLCA Lux Aura is both for me — a legacy born long before I realized what it would one day become.
Today, as I write my very first blog post for this website, I am filled with gratitude, reverence, and a sense of divine alignment. This brand has traveled with me through seasons of creativity, seasons of pause, seasons of heartbreak, and seasons of rebirth. And now, it stands as a testament to the power of intention, healing, and honoring the people who shaped us.
How It All Began — Miss Lynn’s Candles of Affirmation (2007)
Before MLCA Lux Aura ever existed, there was Miss Lynn’s Candles of Affirmation — my very first candle business, created in 2007 and named by my grandmother.
Back then, I didn’t know much about entrepreneurship. I just knew I loved creating scents, loved giving people something that made them feel comforted, and loved the idea of placing affirmations into every jar .
But life shifted. Responsibilities grew. And slowly, flame by flame, I sat the business down.
The Rebirth — 2020 and the Loss That Changed Everything
In 2020, everything came full circle in a way I never expected.
When my aunt passed away from angiosarcoma of the scalp, it shook me deeply. Grief has a way of rearranging your soul, and in that painful season, I found myself reaching for something — anything — that could hold space for my emotions.
That’s when candles found me again. Candle making became therapy. Pouring became prayer. Fragrances became memories. Affirmations became survival.
It wasn’t just a hobby anymore. It was healing and in that space, something powerful awakened in me. The realization that this wasn’t just a business, it was purpose.
I decided to relaunch this time with deeper intention, cleaner ingredients, a clearer vision, and a mission rooted in emotional well-being and self-affirmation.
That’s how Miss Lynn’s Candles of Affirmation evolved into MLCA Lux Aura a luxury, vegan, non-toxic home-fragrance and lifestyle brand built on legacy, healing, craftsmanship, and intentional living.
